@SuRihtanil yes this particular car may cost a fortune but you can still buy a regular camaro SS that makes 436 horse power and only sells for about 33,000. a good value to me.

  2. @kyle1970ss Well heres the deal. Camaro’s have always been a LITTLE bit faster than the Fords because its easy to to look good when your always LATE to the party! That being said, I always have and always will respect the Mustang. Being that the fight is no longer Ford vs Chevy vs Mopar, but more like domestic vs import, I think this debate is out dated an useless! As long as there is an american V8 RWD platform that gets aftermarket support, I am a happy camper in either camp!

  3. Go to ebay and type in 2008 corvette you can find them for $30,000-$40,000 in mint shape. So there you go bud… I would much rather buy a new C6 than spend $70,000+ on a damn camaro.

  4. @STLRedbird11091 I am not dirt poor or anything, I could probably buy a new 5.0 if I really wanted to no problem… but damn these cars are suppose to be for the middle class market, and they’re turning them into something that only people who make $100,000++ a year can afford to buy and toy with?? Middle class tax payers are who suffered through getting GM out of bankruptcy at the very least GM could have done was cut us Americans a break on prices right?

  5. @SuRihtanil True that no middle class person could ever afford this car, but the total price of a Camaro is about the same for a Mustang. Also, you have the new Camaro way over priced. The ZL package cost $21,000 coming to a grand total of about the low $60,000. So, I don’t think you would rather buy a corvette which in the $100,000 range and up.

  6. for 58k you could buy a brand new 2011 BMW m3 with a v8 pushing 414hp, and have a heck of a lot more handling and class than the camaro will ever get you. the problem with american muscle cars is they are made for inline 1/4 mile speed and not much more, and the interiors are not up to the times like japanese or european cars. plus, everytime i see a camaro or a mustang i hear kip winger singing in the background and get images of the county fair…i dunno?

  7. @1985jhoward No, but the SS and 5.0 are comparable as it is right now, the 5.0 doesnt blow it out of the water, its called pony wars for a reason and both are doing good unlike the chally srt8.but the z28 will of course compare to the gt500 and ss to the 5.0 but like you said we’ll see

  8. @GOMEZ99Christian okay, so when it does hit what will be proven? That it’s faster than a stock 5.0? It sure as hell better be. It’s supercharged and rather at around 550 horses. So what’s the next target for it to compete with? The GT500. Will it be faster? My prediction is no, but we wont know till it’s released.

  9. wow the price is crazy
