That awd car goes like a cat. And I mean like both the tractor & 4-legged miaow. A6 or A8, they’re good to go on bad surfaces. I’ll have mine with Quattro-drive, please.

The cable is not assisting the car. It also does not keep the car aligned. It is simply to keep the car from rolling backwards in the case it doesn’t make it up. Similar to what mountain climbers use…same concept anyways.

Hence, the cable: it’s a safety line meant to keep the driver from losing control in case of a failure.
It could not have been an A8,because they were trying to redo a stunt done with the Audi 100 quattro(the A6’s ancestor).
